Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know about mobile dog grooming in Katy TX.
How It Works
We drive our self-contained grooming van to your driveway. The van has its own water supply, drainage, tubs, dryers, and grooming tools — nothing plugs into your home. Your dog gets a full salon experience without leaving your property.
No. Our van is completely self-contained. We do not need access to your home, water hookup, or electricity. We park in your driveway and operate independently.
Most appointments finish in 60–90 minutes. Larger breeds, heavily coated dogs, or dogs that need extra reassurance may take up to 2 hours. We do not rush.
Yes — we can groom multiple dogs from the same household in a single visit. Each dog gets their own dedicated time slot in the van.
Booking & Pricing
Call us at the number on this page or fill out the form. We confirm the same day and typically have availability within the week.
Pricing depends on your dog's breed, size, and coat condition. We provide an exact quote when you book — no surprises. Visit our pricing guide for estimated ranges by dog size.
Dogs with heavy matting, very long coats, or significant behavioral challenges may take more time and be priced accordingly. We tell you before we start.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Last-minute cancellations may incur a $25 fee for holding the time slot.
Anxious & Difficult Dogs
Usually yes. Fear Free handling is specifically designed for anxious dogs. We use calming techniques, go at your dog's pace, and never force anything. Many of our most loyal clients originally had dogs that failed at traditional salons.
Fear Free is a professional program that teaches groomers and veterinarians to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress during handling. It covers body language reading, counter-conditioning, handling techniques, and environmental modification.
Yes, rarely. If a dog's behavior poses a safety risk to itself or our groomers that cannot be managed with Fear Free techniques, we will stop and refer you to a veterinarian or a groomer with sedation capability.
Yes. Jessica handles all senior dog appointments personally. We use extra padding, gentle handling, take more breaks, and do not rush elderly or mobility-challenged dogs.
Coat & Health
Light to moderate matting — yes. Severely matted coats may require a shave-down rather than a dematting attempt. We will assess and tell you honestly before starting, with your dog's comfort and skin health as the priority.
Yes. We stock medicated, hypoallergenic, and antifungal shampoos. Let us know about any skin conditions when you book.
It depends on the breed and coat type. Most dogs do well every 4–6 weeks. Poodles, doodles, and schnauzers often need every 4 weeks. Short-coated breeds can go 8–12 weeks between baths.
